The challenge
Autonomous mobility is fundamentally changing the way we travel. Passengers no longer need to steer, navigate or speak to a driver. That makes the journey more comfortable, but also quieter: there is little context, no explanation of what you pass along the way and no human guide to tell you the story.
Without guidance, an autonomous ride can quickly become an empty experience — functional, but not meaningful. Mobility providers are therefore looking for ways to enrich the journey: how do you add experience when no one is behind the wheel?
The role of Loook
Loook adds a meaningful, narrative layer to autonomous mobility. Short GPS-based stories start automatically as the vehicle moves through its surroundings. Passengers receive context about the cities, landscapes and objects they pass — exactly when they become relevant.
The technology works through the Loook app, but can also be integrated into in-car systems, such as next-generation infotainment platforms. This turns a ride in a self-driving vehicle into an experience: passengers get to know their surroundings, understand what they see and feel more connected to the route.
And when the passenger gets out?
The experience simply continues. On foot, by bike or on public transport, stories keep starting automatically. This allows mobility providers to stay connected with users beyond the vehicle and gain better insight into follow-up movements — from the first kilometre to the final metre.
Future & scalability
This approach can start small, for example on a fixed route or in a city centre. Thanks to Loook’s scalable story engine, the narrative layer can easily be expanded to larger areas, multiple cities or international corridors.
Multimodal journeys — where travellers switch between autonomous vehicles, public transport and walking — can also be connected into one continuous travel experience. This creates a future-proof mobility experience that grows alongside new vehicles, services and cities.
